The following are some of the frequently asked AIRS questions from our users:

1. Is AIRS completely different than the URS?

No. AIRS is essentially the same as the URS. AIRS is written with a new version of Visual Foxpro so it has a different look and feel, but it retains all the same functionalities of the URS and it is easier to use and navigate.

2. How come I can't see all of the items on the screen?

AIRS, like most of the newer programs, is optimized for a screen resolution of 1024 X 768. In order to see the whole screen, you must set your screen resolution to 1024 X768 or higher. The higher the resolution, the better it looks.

3. Navigation is very different in AIRS and I cannot see or find many of the menu items when I do data entry.

Many of the menus are collapsed in the navigation tree and you can either right click and select "exapnd all" or click on the "-" or "+" signs to expand or contract the navigation tree. As for some of the menu items in the data entry screens, right click on the data entry field should present you with many of the menu items that you need.

4. Can more than one person log on to AIRS using the same login name and password?

No, AIRS will not permit users to use the same logins. Each user must have his or her own user name and password.

5. What if I forget my password?

You are allowed two tries to enter your password to enter the system. If you have failed twice, you will be locked out. Please see your system administrator if you dont' remember your password or if you are locked out for whatever reason.

6. Will I be able to generate all the reports that I used to generate in the URS using AIRS?

Yes, every report that was available in the URS will be available in AIRS.

7. How do I manage upgrades to AIRS?

All upgrades to AIRS will be managed through the Utilities function. If you are not an administrator, you will not have to worry about upgrades. He or she will be able to use the Utilities function and upgrade the system.

8.When adding medications to AIRS, where can I get the correct codes for medication that I want to add to the list?

Use the link here to look up the drug codes to be used. The link will take you to FDA's list of drug codes. We recommend all AIRS agencies to look up the codes from the FDA website.
